This fourth outing on the art of Mentalism is completely devoted to the use of the Devil’s playthings – the wonderful pasteboards – or as we commonly call them, playing cards.
My series of books/video downloads McCoy’s Miracles are largely devoted to playing cards. I will repeat here what I said there. – there is a misconception that people find card tricks boring. This is simply not true. People find bad magic – card tricks included - as boring. They find good magic very interesting. They love excellent magic – including excellent card magic and mentalism.
And this is what is offered here – excellent magic – or to be more precise excellent mentalism.
In Two Thoughts Two Cards the Mentalist is able to produce two cards merely thought of by two people. From a Distance allows you to guess a card someone is thinking of while you talk over the telephone while a Month a Card and a Name is a mentalism extravaganza whereby the performer is able to determine a card thought of - the month a certain person was born on – and then the name of the special person thought of.
Learning these and another 5 routines is enhanced by video links to petformance and tuition.
Some of the material in this publication is “self working” – in the sense that no difficult sleight of hand is required. Having said that, it must be qualified with the observation that there's really no such thing as a self-working card trick - you still need to learn the procedures and rehearse an interesting presentation. Most of the routines do involve some “sleight of hand”. Experienced practitioners will have no problems here – but I would urge anyone new to our ancient art to not be intimidated by this. Put a little work in and you will get your just rewards.
As ever video links to performance and tuition - another aspect that makes these publications the best deal in magic.
